Vietnam Decree 147 takes effect 25 December 2024 — ad and licensing gate goes live

What “effective” means for UA

From the effective date reported by PocketGamer.biz, Vietnam-facing campaigns for online games sit under the Decree 147 stack: G1 needs a release decision; G2–G4 need written confirmation of a release notice; advertisements must carry game name, age classification and impact warnings; and advertising without those authorisations is forbidden on the official summary. Premature UA for an unlicensed SKU is a compliance failure, not merely a store-listing risk.

PocketGamer.biz also notes that foreign app-store providers must remove applications that violate Vietnamese law upon request by authorised agencies, and that non-compliance can trigger administrative penalties and technical blocking until resolved.
